The TiCi bits are all specially developed for miniature horses, Shetland ponies and small ponies. So is this TiCi Bustrens bit with tongue bow sweet iron.
This bit is similar to a Myler bit and gives an independent lateral movement which has many advantages. This allows you to give more effective commands in a soft way. The bits are anatomically shaped which gives them a better pressure distribution in the mouth and also have a tongue arch for more tongue freedom so that the horse can relax and swallow better. When the horse yields and relaxes, this bit will not give any pressure. Because this bit can give independent lateral aids, this is often clearer for the horse.
A bustrens is a bit that has fixed rings and therefore lies stable in the mouth of your pony or horse. The reins or rein aids work directly because the rings cannot move separately from the mouthpiece. Bit rings are therefore not necessary with this bit. The rings are in a D shape which therefore cannot easily be pulled through the mouth and also puts light pressure on the cheeks of your pony or horse which makes turning easier.
The thickness of this bit is 1cm in sizes 8, 9, 10 and 11cm
