Bucas Sweet-itch Zebra Mini

The Bucas Sweet-Itch Zebra blanket offers protection to horses with sweet itch and has a fixed neck.

This blanket is made of a strong polyester fabric that stops all insects. Extra attention has been paid to the areas around the mane and tail. These are the places where the insects prefer to go. An elastic, removable belly flap also protects the entire lower abdomen of the horse.

This blanket repels UV radiation. This protects the horse against sunburn and discoloration of the coat.

The T-hook closure with magnets, the leg surcingles, the belly surcingles and lined breast flap ensure that the blanket stays in place. Due to the shoulder folds, the horse will experience a lot of freedom of movement.

Research has shown that zebra print disorients insects. This is because insects see through infrared. The color black is warm and the color white is cold. Due to the wavy pattern, insects can no longer distinguish whether the horse is warm or cold. They will look for another warm place to settle. By wearing a rug with zebra print, the horse will suffer 75% less from insects compared to wearing a regular fly rug.

This blanket is easy to combine with the Bucas fly masks and is only available with a fixed neck.

Our advice is to always measure your horse before purchasing. A blanket must lie correctly to prevent the blanket from sliding, skewing and chafing. This prevents disappointments about the purchase of your blanket. Don't buy your blanket too big, measuring is knowing.
